Hey there! 👋 I'm Mohamed, currently calling the hilly city of Sheffield, UK ⚔️ my home. With six years of experience under my belt, I've been shaping digital products as a dedicated product designer. From freelance gigs to startup ventures, and now with the rocketing 🚀 growth at Pendo, I've honed my skills in crafting user experiences that seamlessly blend beauty with functionality. As a product designer, I'm on a mission 🎯 to tackle big challenges head-on, breaking down complexity into elegant solutions. My ultimate aim is to produce outcomes that transcend mere clarity, leaving a lasting and profound impact on both users and businesses.

Background

Beyond my passion for design, I love learning about product, data-driven development, proactive user research, and passionate about delight in UX 🪄. Each day, I apply first-principle 🔭 thinking to pinpoint and resolve core issues, ensuring our projects are grounded in addressing fundamental challenges. My academic journey 🎓 includes earning a degree in Marketing from the University of Roehampton, and a postgraduate degree in IT Management at Sheffield Hallam University.

Embarking on my design journey

My journey in design began with an internship at Hive IT ~ 2015. Subsequently, I ventured into launching a small product design shop as a freelancer 🪂, collaborating with various agencies and a diverse array of local clients. Noteworthy among these ventures are projects that brought impactful solutions to esteemed institutions 🏢 such as the University of Sheffield, Good Things Foundation, and Sheffield Housing Association, to name a few. In 2019, I embraced a pivotal role within a rapidly expanding startup in the HR sector, contributing significantly to the development of new applications and white-label systems for our clients. Thus far, my career journey has not only deepened my expertise but has also provided me with invaluable insights into the ever-evolving 🌈 terrain of digital product design.

Now days

Over the past two years, I've had the honor of serving as a Senior Product Designer at Pendo.io, a global leader in product analytics 📊. In this role, I actively contribute to projects that shape the future of our industry user feedback 📥 and product planning. My primary focus lies in designing for Pendo Discover and Roamdaps, the best-in-class for communicating product plans. As a pivotal member of the team, I shoulder various responsibilities, crafting user experience design, problem scoping, user interface design, user research, and the delivery of impactful design outcomes. Currently, I work with our PLG (product-led growth) teams, directing my efforts towards projects such as pricing and packaging 🤑, onboarding enhancements, and optimizing our free offering.
